We have started a development project on an ai chatbot for an upcoming startup, the Green Vehicle Disposal Program and it has been fun and challenging! Getting the right answers are sometimes surprisingly easy but sometimes the chatbot seems to have a MIND of its own! That is where prompt engineering comes into play and often the puzzle presented has unique and strange solutions.

I made this post less than 48 hours ago, in that time it has reached over 400k people and almost 25,000 have engaged with the post in some way (share, like, comment or clicked the image). 

Here is where the value grows exponentially, below we are simply looking at one share out of the 2.2k times it was already shared.

This is what the post looks like when he does that: our branding shows up twice in the post and there is a link to send us a message (in fact we received dozens of messages already asking various questions about the business)

Then the post spreads organically from that shared post, see all the comments and participation below:

So every person above saw the post with our brand mentioned and because they commented I get the opportunity to go in to that comment and like it (see third column), they also get a notification on Facebook saying Standard Auto Wreckers liked your comment.

Remember, this is the value from one single share on a post that already broadcasted our brand to over 400k people and  2.2k of those have made a share like this (many to their friends and/or family).

August 28, 2021 update:

The post has continued to spread like crazy but it looks like it is starting to slow down, I expect this to have a final landing at around 750k reach!

It seems like not too long-ago; people were laughing at Amazon – they wondered who would buy something online when they could simply go to the store for it? In a 2000 interview, Jeff Bezos said “Three years ago our stock was $1.50 a share, today it’s $30-something.” In 2020 it’s at $2,011.00 a share.

Canadian stores like Hudson’s Bay have been hanging on by a thread. Their only saving grace is their extensive real estate holdings.  And is there anyone that does not wait for a 40%-60% off sale instead of buying at regular price?

The writing has been on the wall for at least the past five years and retail was either going to have change how it did business or die.

And then Covid-19 happened and likely sped up this retail train wreck.

Just last week it was reported that 23% of small businesses in Canada could not pay their April rent. Bigger companies like GameStop just announced the closing of over 300 stores. And Starbucks announced they are closing at least 200 Canadian locations. How many of these businesses were already running week-to-week?

Just like any major economic change, there will be fear and some desperation, but the businesses that are prepared in advance have the best chance of coming out the other side, with viable businesses that will grow in our newly minted landscape.
